Sankranti Festival

I recently had the pleasure of being asked to take photos at a Hindu festival called Sankanti. I’ve taken photos at a number of events for Hindu couples and groups and they are always a very colourful and lively affair, and great fun to photograph!

They also come with their own set of challenges too - white balance is often an issue, mix in a flash gun, lots of colourful attire and (in this case, courtesy of the DJ and his colour changing spotlights) variable lighting conditions and there’s lots that can go wrong! Anyway, the results hopefully speak for themselves.
